Self-Automated Chlorine Release
FROG® @ease® Smartchlor System revolutionizes hot tub maintenance with its self-regulated design that keeps the water consistently clean effortlessly. At the heart of the innovation is the silver smartchlor cartridge and the blue mineral cartridge. Together, these two cartridges work in tandem to release the perfect blend of smartchlor and minerals into the water. A benefit to using these cartridges is that they’re automatically maintaining optimal sanitation while keeping the amount of chemicals being used down to a minimum.
How it Works
The FROG® @ease® system uses two cartridges that are both pre-filled with smartchlor and minerals that are automatically released into the water.
Smartchlor Cartridge: The silver smartchlor cartridge is responsible for the continuous release of smartchlor into the spa water. Smartchlor is a sanitizer and in a sense, a form of chlorine, but the difference is that the FROG® @ease® Smartchlor System has been made to use up to 75% less chlorine. Due to the low level of smartchlor needed, there’s less of an odor, it only requires shocking once a month, and it’s easier on the spa’s surfaces. The cartridge itself comes pre-filled and there’s a dial from 1 through 4 that changes the amount of smartchlor being released into the spa (the bigger the tub or the more use a tub receives, the higher you turn the dial). A smartchlor cartridge itself lasts 2-3 weeks depending on the usage of the spa.
Mineral Cartridge: The blue mineral cartridge is solely responsible for releasing limestone coated in silver chloride. The reason that the minerals are a vital factor of this system is because the use of the minerals within are responsible for the low amounts of smartchlor needed. Also, the minerals are used to buffer your pH level to consistently maintain in range for clarity of the water along with the fact that the minerals condition the water, giving it a softer feeling. This cartridge should typically be replaced every 3-4 months (replace the blue cartridge when replacing spa water).

The EOS™ O3 Ozone System uses an O3 gas to combine with the spa water within an isolated high-contact chamber to remove any excess ozone while also oxidizing potential microorganisms in the water
